Cherub Choir
We are looking for children who LOVE to sing!! Rehearsals start on Sept. 7th. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. every Wednesday, we sing songs and learn cool things about music for 20 minutes. The group is open to children between the ages of 3 years old and entering 2nd grade. Questions? Please contact Marlene Peters at

The Jordan Chorale sings at all 10:30 a.m. Sunday Services, Lenten Wednesday Evening Services, and Christmas Eve Services. On Festival Days such as Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, and Reformation Day, the Chorale also sings at the 8:00 a.m. Service. Regular practice sessions occur on Wednesday evenings from 7:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Pre-Sunday Service warm-ups begin at 9:45 a.m. with Neil Chaban, the Church Organist and  Jan Kistler, the Assistant Church Organist.

The full Chorale season begins on the 3rd Sunday of September and concludes with the 1st Sunday of July. From the 2nd Sunday of July to the 2nd Sunday of September, at their option, Chorale Choristers offer solo, duos, terzetts, and larger group ensemble selections at Church Services. Typically, about two thirds of the Choristers take this option. The Chorale Calendar enables us to offer vocal music throughout the year, while affording Choristers a Summer break from their commitment to sing and practice every week.

The Jordan Sinfonia welcomes players of a variety of instruments: woodwinds, strings, brass. Players of brass, string, and woodwind instruments who would like to join the Sinfonia are encouraged to talk with David Diehl, the Director. Younger musicians – before confirmation age – are welcome too.

The Brass Sinfonia (trumpets, French horns, trombones, euphoniums) practices on most Tuesday evenings of the year. Frequency of practice sessions is dependent on the convenience of the players and the director. The Brass Sinfonia, over time, performs about once per month at a Sunday Service.

The Woodwinds plus Strings Sinfonia (violins, flutes, clarinets) perform on festival days, e.g. Palm Sunday, Easter, Reformation Day, Christmas Eve, as well as on other Sundays, depending on availability of players. Practice sessions are contingent on the convenience of the players. Also on occasion, guitars enhance our Worship Services.

The The Jordan Musicians’ Dinner concert
The Jordan Musicians’ Dinner Concert is offered in odd-numbered years, in the Jordan Family Center. All performing groups offer music, not necessarily sacred, creating an occasion to combine some of the groups, and to sing and play music which would not typically be offered in Church.

The Canon Choir is a group of young vocalists, ages 8 through 16 that meets each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room to learn music in praise of God. Directed by Jan Kistler, the Canon Choir sings in church each month, and also for Christmas Eve and Easter.

The Cherub Choir is active during the school year (September – early June). Children who love to sing are invited to participate in the choir.   We meet Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 6:20 p.m.  Cherub choir members are children who are 3 years of age through 2nd grade.   Questions can be directed to Marlene Peters at 610-756-0022.
