Vacation Bible School (VBS)
SKY! Everything Is Possible With God! ~ July 9 – 13, 2012
Registration begins May 1st. We are offering a free music CD from Sky VBS (one per family) to those who register by May 31st, so register early this year!
We always look forward to the middle of July each year as it means it’s time for VBS. Every year, we rely on volunteers to help make our program successful. There are many and various opportunities for both adults and teenagers to help make our program fun and rewarding for everyone. Remember free child care is provided on site for volunteers with children under 3 years of age in order to allow those individuals an opportunity to participate.
Come and fly with us this summer at SKY VBS!! We are soaring with excitement over this year’s VBS theme! Help us kickoff registration for SKY on Sunday, May 6th in the Memory Room! There will be fun SKY themed goodies to enjoy and registration forms will be available. Everyone who registers in the the Memory Room on a Sunday in May will receive a special gift, in addition to the music CD.
Donation Station: The Donation Station for SKY VBS will be set up in the Memory Room beginning may6th. If you want to contribute to VBS, but can’t be here during the week of VBS, this is a great way to make an impact. Look for list of donation items that will be needed to build this year’s set and items needed throughout the week to make our VBS a success again this year!
VBS Volunteer Staff & Helper Training - Sunday, June 10th after the 10:30a.m. service: There will be a VBS training session to go over the theme and structure of this year’s VBS program and changes that have been made from previous years. It is important that all staff members (station leaders, crew leaders & adult and youth helpers) attend this meeting. Lunch will be provided. Training will go until approximately 2:00 p.m.
Please open yourself to the possibility of volunteering your time and talents. As always, Jamie will be available as an informational resource for all volunteer positions – you won’t have to forge your way all on your own! In addition, the Group Publishing material is excellent and makes things quite easy for teachers and helpers. VBS Set Building Dates: Building will begin on Tuesday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the Family Center. Tasks include, but are not limited to, building shadow boxes, clouds, kites, planes, hot air balloons, etc. All are welcome to help – just show up!!!
